Why should YOU walk in the Coldest Night of the Year? -We walk through the cold and dark to declare our concern for people who have no home and take shelter in the nooks and crannies right here in Boone County -We walk for those whose days are a battle to house and feed their families and whose nights are filled with fear and frustration -We walk for those driven from home by violence and abuse -We walk for people overwhelmed by isolation, guilt and despair -We walk humbly, realizing that anyone can lose their footing and then lose everything else Each step we take on the Coldest Night of the Year brings someone closer to safety, food security, healthy, home, and will bring attention to the problem of homelessness in our community. Join us by starting a team and asking your friends to walk with you. Proceeds from this year's event will be distributed among these food pantries operated by Love INC partnering churches and will also support Love INC's pantry for the Homeless: Dover Christian Church (meat food pantry) Lebanon Nazarene Church (Ruth Newby Food Pantry) Zionsville Presbyterian Church (Zionsville Food Pantry) Jamestown Christian Church (Giving Tree Food Pantry) St. Joe’s Catholic Church (Five Loaves Two Fish Food Pantry)
