Our Mission The Arc of Greater Boone County exists to assist people with disabilities and special needs to achieve their maximum potential in partnership with the community. Our Organization Starting in the 1950s, a group of Boone County residents came together with a purpose of providing local opportunities for people with disabilities. The organization was incorporated in 1970 and with longstanding local support, it continues to make progress toward its mission. The Arc is a local, state and national organization with chapters in every state. The Arc of Greater Boone County is the local chapter (#1793) of The Arc of Indiana. There are more than 140,000 members nationwide.

Donations needed to purchase a lifted mat table
The Arc of Greater Boone County is seeking funding to help get a lifted mat table for stretching. This funding will help us support persons who need personal care assistance including lifting, transferring and positioning persons who use wheelchairs and other adaptive aids

The Arc Artisans can always use art supplies to support its art program. Items that can be used include: *Art Ready Canvases *Acrylic Paints *Gift Cards/Certificates for Amazon, Dharma Trading, Ceramics Superstore, Hobby Lobby, Michaels *Blank tee shirts, bibs, bandanas, towels, etc. for dyeing or embellishing *Artist Paint Brushes *Blank Greeting Cards (cardstock or kraft paper) *Glass Beads, nickel free jewelry findings
Diaper Distribution

Boone County WIC (operated by The Arc of Greater Boone County) has partnered with the Diaper Bank for free monthly diaper distributions. We will be offering these the last Friday of each month from 1-3 at 903 W Main Street. Each family will be eligible for up to 1 bundle of 25 diapers while supplies last. as availble, there may also be wipes and pull ups.
